Community Tab

The Community tab (/community) lets you browse, share, and interact with patterns from other creators.

Accessing Community​

  • Click Community in the Studio sidebar, OR
  • Navigate directly to /community

Browsing Community Content​

The community page shows patterns and modules shared by all users.

Content Grid​

  • Content displays as cards in a grid
  • Each card shows thumbnail, name, creator, and like count
  • Click a card to view the content

Pattern Card Icons​

Interacting with Patterns​

Liking a Pattern​

  1. Find a pattern you enjoy
  2. Click the heart icon
  3. Heart fills red when liked
  4. Click again to unlike

Viewing a Pattern​

  1. Click anywhere on the pattern card
  2. The pattern opens in the viewer
  3. You can zoom, pan, and inspect the design

Replicating a Pattern​

If the pattern has the orange copy icon:

  1. Open the pattern viewer
  2. Click Replicate
  3. A copy is added to your patterns
  4. You can now edit your copy freely

Downloading a Pattern​

If the pattern has the blue download icon:

  1. Open the pattern viewer
  2. Click Download or Export
  3. Choose SVG or PDF format
  4. File downloads to your computer

Interacting with Modules​

Liking a Module​

  1. Find a module you enjoy
  2. Click the heart icon
  3. Heart fills red when liked
  4. Click again to unlike

Adding a Module to Your Library​

  1. Find a module you want to use
  2. Click the + button on the card
  3. The module copies to your Studio → Modules
  4. Button changes to a checkmark ✓
  5. Use the module in any of your patterns

Creator Profiles​

Viewing a Profile​

  1. Click a creator's name or avatar on any content card
  2. You'll see their profile page with:
    • Avatar and display name
    • Follower/following counts
    • All their published patterns
    • All their published modules
    • Their shared fabrics

Following a Creator​

  1. Visit their profile page
  2. Click the Follow button
  3. Button changes to "Following"
  4. Their new patterns may appear in your feed

Unfollowing​

  1. Visit the creator's profile
  2. Click Following button
  3. Button changes back to "Follow"

Publishing Your Content​

Publishing a Pattern​

See Publishing Your Pattern in the Community Features documentation.

When publishing from pattern cards in Studio (Overview, Patterns, or Fabrics tabs), a Community Guidelines confirmation popup appears requiring you to:

  • Check the box agreeing to the Community Guidelines
  • Confirm the content is your original work or you have permission to share

Publishing Modules​

  1. Go to Studio → Modules
  2. Click menu on a module
  3. Select Publish to Community
  4. Add an optional description
  5. Agree to Community Guidelines in the confirmation popup
  6. Click Publish

Note: You cannot publish modules added from the community.

Publishing Fabrics​

  1. Go to Studio → Fabrics
  2. Click menu on a fabric
  3. Select Publish
  4. Agree to Community Guidelines in the confirmation popup
  5. Click Publish to Community

Searching Community​

Use the search bar to find patterns by:

  • Pattern name
  • Creator username
  • Tags or categories

Sorting Community​

Sort community patterns using these options:

Liked by Me Filter​

Click the Liked by me button to show only patterns you've liked.

Community Guidelines​

  • Only publish original work or properly credited modifications
  • Don't publish copyrighted commercial patterns
  • Be respectful and constructive
  • Report inappropriate content
